Asim Zaheer is responsible for the company's worldwide marketing and focuses on developing marketing strategies that differentiate HDS and its offerings in the market. He oversees all phases of marketing including demand generation, digital strategy, products, solutions and services marketing, and market intelligence. Zaheer is also responsible for HDS learning and collaboration efforts and for the Office of the CTO.
Zaheer assumed these responsibilities after serving as vice president of marketing at Hitachi Data Systems. He has spent 20 years in the technology industry working at large global companies as well as early stage startups that have introduced disruptive new technologies to the market. Prior to joining HDS, Zaheer served in senior executive positions in marketing and product management at Archivas, Storability, Compaq, and Digital Equipment Corporation. Zaheer’s work has been featured in Harvard Business Review, The Economist and numerous other global publications.
Zaheer received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Hartford, and has studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Babson College.
