Product of the Year 2007

The Hitachi Universal Storage Platform™ (USP) V was selected by the editors of TechTarget’s Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com as a finalist in its annual “Storage Products of the Year” awards program. The USP V was selected as a finalist in the disk and disk subsystems category. The SearchStorage.com and Storage magazine Product of the Year awards recognize the elite technologies that impacted the storage industry in 2007. Over 200 storage-related products were submitted for consideration - a record number of entries. The Storage magazine-SearchStorage.com editorial staff, in conjunction with a team of users, industry experts, analysts, and consultants narrowed the finalists down to a list of 45 products across 5 different categories: backup and disaster recovery software, backup hardware, disk and disk subsystems, storage networking equipment and storage management software. China Computer World Product Award

The Hitachi Simple Modular Storage 100 won the SMB TRUST Storage Product of the Year 2007 for its ultimate simplicity and storage economics brought to SMB customers.
