The test covers pre-deployment considerations, implementation techniques and best practices, and the tools related to supporting and maintaining the solutions.
Products covered include Hitachi Universal Volume Manager, the Hitachi Command Suite, Hitachi Virtual Partitioning and Cache Partitioning Manager, Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning and Hitachi Dynamic Tiering software.
Implementation and support engineers should have strong knowledge and skills in using and deploying the Hitachi Data Systems hardware and software products involved in solutions implementations. As system integrators they provide pre- and post-installation support services and have thorough knowledge of problem determination and incident resolution tools and techniques. They also have knowledge of general storage and storage networks concepts and in the area of interoperability of storage networking.
