Hitachi Data Systems Certified Solution Specialist – Business Continuity Exam (HH0-270)

This advanced exam specifically measures skills and knowledge in the area of implementing Business Continuity solutions running on Hitachi Data Systems storage systems. The test covers pre-deployment considerations, implementation techniques and best practices and the tools related to deploying, supporting and maintaining the solutions.

This test covers data replication, data protection and backup software products including Hitachi ShadowImage™ In-System Replication software, Copy-on-Write Snapshot software, Hitachi TrueCopy™ Remote Replication software, Hitachi Universal Replicator and Hitachi Protection Manager. The test covers deployment considerations and best practices, and the tools and techniques related to implementing and supporting Hitachi Data Systems Business Continuity solutions.

Solution specialist engineers should have strong knowledge and skills in deploying, using and managing the Hitachi Data Systems hardware and software products involved in storage solutions implementations. They understand the Hitachi Data Systems services portfolio and adhere to proven Hitachi Data Systems professional services delivery methodologies.

They have knowledge of storage networks concepts and designs and in the area of interoperability of storage networking. They understand the latest in storage technologies and complex IT architectures and know how to align technology to business requirements. As system integrators, they provide pre- and post-installation support services and have thorough knowledge of problem determination and incident resolution tools and techniques.

They are able to perform knowledge transfer tasks by communicating needed information to allow clients to assume responsibility for operation of the storage solutions deployed. They understand and can communicate best practices supporting all administrative activities.

To earn the Hitachi Certified Solution Specialist, a candidate must pass one of the Hitachi Data Systems Storage Foundations certification exams in addition to passing this exam.
