Storage Partitioning

Hitachi Virtual Partition Manager software enables the logical partitioning of cache on Virtual Storage Platform. It also enables the logical partitioning of ports, cache and disk (parity groups) on Hitachi Universal Storage Platform® and Universal Storage Platform VM.

  • Logical partitioning allows controlling resources for each partition to avoid impact on another partition’s performance.
  • Virtual Partition Manager (VPM) is a component of Hitachi Basic Operating System software.
