Minimum System Requirements for the Management Server:

Hitachi Device Manager Server 6.0 or later must be installed on the same system.

- Caution: On all nodes that make up a cluster, the disk configuration must be the same, and the installation folder for the Hitachi Device Manager software server must have the same name (including the drive letter and path name).
- Server machine requirements:
- Monitor: SVGA (800 x 600) or greater
- CPU: minimum 1GHz (2GHz recommended)
- Memory: 1GB (2GB recommended)
- Disk capacity: 250MB (5GB recommended, more for larger sets of managed storage units)
Sun Solaris (SPARC edition)-based Management Server:
- Operating systems (non-cluster environment) supported:
- Solaris 9
- The following patch is required:
- Solaris 10
- Do not apply the following OS patches in a Solaris 10 environment:
- SPARC : 127111-02 and 127111-03
- x64 : 127112-02 and 127112-03
- Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager server only works in an ordinary global environment (global zone). If you have created a zone (non-global zone), make sure that you install the Tiered Storage Manager server in the global zone.

- VERITAS Cluster Server 4.0 or Sun Cluster 3.1

- Hitachi Tuning Manager software 5.0.0 or later
WARNING: Do not install Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager software and Hitachi Tuning Manager software (“large database” setting) on the same management server - Hitachi Tuning Manager - Agent for RAID 4.0.0 or later
