Hitachi Data Systems Announces New Roles for Several Key Executives

The changes are consistent with the company’s evolution into an information solutions company that helps customers innovate with information to make a difference in the world. The new roles will help Hitachi Data Systems become more competitive in its key markets, grow its solutions portfolio beyond IT infrastructure, and aggressively expand its footprint in key vertical markets including health and life sciences, energy, communications, media and entertainment, and many more. Q: What is object-based file system and the benefits of it?
An object-based file system creates and maintains additional intelligent attributes of a files (metadata). Along with each file, this file system implementation creates attributes describing the file (file contents, replication status, ACL, etc.) that it stores as file metadata along with file data thus creating the data object. There are many benefits from it which improves the efficiency, resiliency, scalability and portability when you are considering to consolidate massive unstructured data on a single storage platform.
