Randy DeMont
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Services and Support
Randy DeMont was promoted to lead the Hitachi Data Systems global sales organization and named to the company’s Executive Committee in February 2008. DeMont has most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of the Americas sales organization. DeMont returned to Hitachi Data Systems in 2007 from Unisys Corporation where he served as vice president and general manager of Sales and Service.
At Unisys, DeMont doubled the sales pipeline, built a "strategic initiative" sales organization and positioned it for continued profitability and growth, which increased the morale in the division.
From 1990-1996, DeMont was vice president of the Western Region at Hitachi Data Systems, and District Manager for the Mountain States. He has also held a number of increasingly responsible positions in management at Compaq Computer (now part of Hewlett-Packard), Tandem Computers, Memorex, Raytheon and IBM.
DeMont is a graduate of Wittenberg University and has studied at Stanford, Harvard, the London School of Business and the Aspen Institute. He is active in the community volunteering with Big Brothers of America and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
