Course Description
The course provides an introduction to the basic concepts, terms, and technologies of today's storage industry. The materials are most appropriate to a non-technical audience. The course examines the business challenges that are driving storage growth and Hitachi Data Systems' technologies that address our customers and the industries storage needs.
The course also examines the major components of a storage system, common storage architectures and the various means of connecting storage elements. The course compares NAS and SAN implementations and the technologies data protection and storage performance issues. It provides details on industry-defined tiered storage, virtualization, and storage management strategies.
Throughout the course learners are presented with Hitachi Data Systems' products and how our technologies and services enable customers to align their applications and storage infrastructure to meet today's business needs.
