Green Comm Award Mexico 2008

Hitachi Data Systems has been honored with the Green Comm Award Mexico 2008 in the category of companies that develop devices, products or systems with environmentally friendly elements and parts. Hitachi Data Systems won the award over 10 organizations which competed with its Environmental Vision 2025 initiative, designed by its parent company, Hitachi Ltd. The goal of this initiative is to curb CO2 emissions associated with its products by 100 million tons by 2025. "The Green Comm Award Mexico 2008 represents a real challenge to the competitiveness and sustainability of the IT industry in Mexico. This award intends to communicate to the public opinion that these initiatives do exist within this important sector in Mexico and they should be made known", said José Navarro, General Director of EJ Krause Mexico, the founder of the Green Comm award. Product of the Year 2007

The Hitachi Universal Storage Platform™ (USP) V was selected by the editors of TechTarget’s Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com as a finalist in its annual "Storage Products of the Year" awards program. The USP V was selected as a finalist in the disk and disk subsystems category. The SearchStorage.com and Storage magazine Product of the Year awards recognize the elite technologies that impacted the storage industry in 2007. Over 200 storage-related products were submitted for consideration - a record number of entries.
