The account team for eBay—Focused Account Representative Dawn McCale, Systems Engineer Doug Alexander, and Customer Resource Manager Andy Seagraves—has been notified that Hitachi Data Systems has received the coveted eBay "Vendor of the Year" award for 2004.
The annual award is based on a comprehensive grading system that analyzes sales, support, cost savings, availability and technology, delivery, customer satisfaction, and accurate billing. To win the prestigious award—which includes dinner in San Jose with eBay CEO Meg Whitman—Hitachi Data Systems had to compete against eBay's 25 top vendors, a list that included IBM, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Network Appliance, Microsoft, VERITAS, and Oracle.
"This is an amazing accomplishment, given the competitive landscape and eBay's demanding attributes, and I would like to thank everyone who supports the account," said District Sales Manager John Fliss. "When you take a close look at the criteria for the award, you can better understand why this award recognizes our entire organization, not just the sales team, for the extraordinary support many of you have provided. Thanks, everyone, for your past and continued support of this key focused account."
