Special Incentives Available to TrueNorth Channel Partners
Santa Clara, Calif. October 19, 2004—Hitachi Data Systems Credit Corporation (HDSCC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, today announced financing solutions for TrueNorth™ Channel partners in North America. TrueNorth Channel partners will now be able to offer flexible financing options to their customers as a part of a total solution, which includes Hitachi Data Systems' industry-leading storage hardware, software, services, maintenance, and related equipment.
"Today's announcement demonstrates our continued commitment to the Channel by providing a financial tool exclusively to our partners, that allows them to market our best-of-breed storage solutions in yet another creative way," said Tom Valiante, vice president, North America Indirect Channels at Hitachi Data Systems. "This tool has been tailor-made for our TrueNorth Channel partners to meet their customers' needs, and facilitate their purchase decision."
With the financing options made available by HDSCC, TrueNorth Channel partners can provide their customers with a complete solution, which includes Hitachi Data Systems products and services. HDSCC is focused on offering both speed and agility through its technology-based systems and personal leasing manager support. HDSCC also delivers technology that can allow partners to include a lease rate with every proposal. By using HDSCC, partners can meet their short-term and long-term goals by increasing their solution sales, shortening their follow-up sales opportunities through mid-term technology refreshes, and developing long-term account control.
"HDSCC has really stepped up its Channel support by providing us with financial tools to help provide our customers with storage solutions that address their entire data lifecycle and solve many of their current and future business problems," said Robert S. King, vice president of AdviStor, Inc. "Financing solutions will serve to sweeten the pot of what we can offer our customers. We look forward to continue working with HDSCC to make sure this program is a success."
To kick off the program, Hitachi Data Systems is offering a two-month promotion, beginning in October, under which Channel partners will earn TruePerformer bonus rewards on select Hitachi Data Systems solutions leased through HDSCC. In addition, HDSCC will support Channel sales beginning October through December 2004, with special finance offerings for qualified applicants, which allow customers to obtain a new storage solution in 2004 and make no payments until 2005. Deferred payment plans are available on all lease structures. Customers who acquire equipment by using a Capital Lease can benefit from a 50% depreciation bonus to reduce their 2004 tax liability. The opportunity to take advantage of this special IRS Depreciation Bonus expires January 1, 2005.
