Hitachi Data Systems' CTO Hu Yoshida to Speak on Virtualization at Gartner ITxpo

Who:
Hu Yoshida, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT).

What:
Mr. Yoshida will be giving a presentation entitled "Virtualization Meets the Enterprise," in which he will discuss the advantages of controller-based storage virtualization. This new approach, recently announced by Hitachi Data Systems, greatly simplifies management tasks by forming one storage pool across internal and externally attached heterogeneous storage, enables new functionality to be mapped across older storage assets, and optimizes the use of multi-tier storage.

The Symposium/ITxpo is Gartner's flagship event where thousands of senior IT strategists gather to ask tough questions and tackle current issues, including compliance, convergence, real-time agility, sourcing, business alignment, and IT investments.
