Ken Beaudry to Lead Unified Hardware, Software, and Services Divisions
SANTA CLARA, CALIF. October 6, 2004-Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), today announced the formation of a unified product and services organization tasked with solution strategy, development, and support under the leadership of Ken Beaudry, who was promoted to executive vice president and general manager. The newly formed organization includes Hardware and Software Product Management, Global Solution Services, Technical Operations, Technical Response Centers, the Technology Office, and Global Education.
"With the announcement of the TagmaStore™ Universal Storage Platform, we are now further accelerating our solutions focus, and the next step is the aligning of resources with the introduction of the Global Solutions Development and Support organization under Ken," said Dave Roberson, president and chief operating officer, Hitachi Data Systems. "Ken brings proven success in driving solutions through his leadership of Global Solution Services. He can now create synergies among all of the product and services groups to take solution strategy, development, and delivery to the next level."
In his new position, Ken Beaudry reports to Dave Roberson, Hitachi Data Systems president and COO. Formerly, Beaudry was senior vice president and general manager for Hitachi Data Systems' Global Solution Services organization, which he launched in October 2002. Under Beaudry's leadership, Global Solution Services doubled in size, by expanding its suite of professional services offerings, and initiating the company's focus on enterprise content archiving solutions for the fast growing fixed content space.
