The company will demonstratecontinued support for industry standards, a major tenet of theTrueNorth vision, through participation in the Storage NetworkingIndustry Association's (SNIA) CIM-SAN 2 demonstration. Also, HuYoshida, vice president and chief technologist, will share thecompany's views in two forums at SNW: a presentation on EnterpriseStorage trends, and through participation in the CTORoundtable.
Separately, the company will hold a live press pressconference/webcast to announce a new SAN-NAS co-existence solution.The press conference will take place Tuesday, April 15th at 10:15a.m. PT.

Hitachi Data Systems is actively working with the StorageNetworking Industry Association's (SNIA) Storage ManagementInitiative (SMI) to deliver an interoperable storage managementframework based on industry standards including the CommonInformation Model (CIM).
Hitachi Data Systems will contribute a key management componentto the CIM-SAN 2 demo, showing extended support for the latest SMIspecification (SMI-S) in the HiCommand® Device Manager's CIMinterface. HiCommand Device Manager, which provides unifiedmanagement of heterogeneous storage systems, will demonstrateinteroperability with a broad array of storage management softwareand hardware.
The demonstration will take place in the SNIA InteroperabilityLab at the SNW conference from April 15-16.
Hu Yoshida, Hitachi Data Systems vice president and chieftechnologist, will participate in two speaking engagements at SNW.The first is the CTO Insights Panel, to be held on Wednesday, April16 from 11:15am-12:00pm. In the second, Mr. Yoshida will deliver apresentation entitled: "Enterprise Storage 2003: A View from theTop" on Thursday, April 17, from 9:15-10:00am.
