Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT)
today announced that Ken Beaudry has been named senior vice president
and general manager of Global Solutions Services.
In this newly created role, Beaudry has responsibility for expanding on the work and accomplishments of Hitachi Data Systems' worldwide Professional Services and Global Education organization, and for defining and executing a global plan to significantly increase revenues and profitability from services and solutions sales. This includes direct responsibility for the newly created Global Professional and Educational Services Practice Management organization, leading Hitachi Data Systems' effort to bring an increased emphasis on services.

Most recently, he was vice president of Worldwide Sales and Services for Front Porch Digital, a New Jersey-based startup that develops and sells software and professional services for the digital video content management and IT data markets.
