The Hitachi e-Business Infrastructure Optimization service is designed to provide companies with the foundation for exploiting their e-business initiatives. The service helps companies reduce complexity, enhance throughput, simplify workload, increase availability, broaden scalability and surge protection, and improve enterprise manageability.
Focusing on the three major areas that can have the greatest impact on e-business operations — applications, data, and network infrastructure and processes — Hitachi identifies the level of complexity within each client's e-business environment, gains an understanding of the end-to-end flow of information, carefully examines how individual e-business components interact, and then develops a strategy to optimize the e-business infrastructure to meet clients' business objectives

XtraPlex is a multi-site, multi-platform business-continuity solution that combines the functionality of Parallel Sysplex® with Hitachi's advanced mirroring and networking technologies to implement the most highly available application environment possible today. XtraPlex provides the capability to manage remote copy configuration, storage subsystems, Parallel Sysplex operational tasks, failure recovery, and data re-routing from a single control point, significantly improving application availability and recovery times.
