July 8 1999 — Hitachi Data Systems today announced the appointment of David Rader as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. In his new role, Rader will lead the development of business strategies, advising on new acquisitions, alliances, and ventures. He will report to Hitachi Data Systems' President and CEO, Yoshihiro Koshimizu.
Most recently, Rader was Vice President at A.T. Kearney and part of a team responsible for corporate and business unit strategy. Before this position, he held business and IT strategy positions at Booz Allen & Hamilton and Andersen Consulting. For 14 years, he was a management consultant, leading teams that advised companies on business management, IT strategy, and information systems management. Rader also spent eight years (1977 to 1985) starting up and reviving several software and computing services companies.
"David brings an outstanding range of business management experience that we can use to further our corporate vision and goals," Koshimizu said.
