25 May 1999 — Hitachi Data Systems today announced that Clark Straw has been named Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales. In his new role, Straw will lead Hitachi Data Systems' worldwide sales organization, which includes both direct and indirect sales operations.
Before joining Hitachi Data Systems, Straw held several top-level management positions at Hewlett-Packard Company over a 30-year period. The last position he held was general manager of the worldwide solutions reselling organization. In this capacity, he oversaw HP's worldwide reselling and distribution program, which generated several billions of dollars in revenue.
