10 February 1999 — Hitachi Data Systems today announced four new models of its Pilot P8 Series of enterprise servers. The new systems will be available in April 1999 as special RPQ (Request for Price Quotation) models to address customers' disaster recovery requirements.
By introducing four new Pilot turbo models, Hitachi is able to provide its high-end customers truly scalable D/R solutions. With power-efficient CMOS technology, a reduced footprint, low maintenance costs, breathe-easy reliability, and top-ranked service and support, the Hitachi Pilot Series is the best-of-breed solution for fast growing business environments.
