2 February 1999 — Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) today announced the 26th model in its highly scalable HDS Skyline Series™ of mainframe servers. Available immediately, the Skyline model 113 provides a reduced performance, entry-level model for the Skyline Series.
The single-engine, single-sided Skyline113 is rated at 19 million service units per hour (MSUs). Skyline 113's performance is approximately 0.88 times that of the Skyline 115. The machine announced today further demonstrates HDS' commitment to the unparalleled scalability of the Skyline Series.
