
As senior vice president and chief financial officer, Susan Lynch is responsible for internal audit and controls, financial reporting and analysis, controllership, procurement and global real estate and facilities. Her successful efforts in continuously surpassing operating plans have resulted in consistent profitability and the first ever dividend to Hitachi, Ltd. (the parent corporation to Hitachi Data Systems) in two decades. Under Lynch’s leadership, Hitachi Data Systems established Global Shared Services organizations in Krakow, Poland and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, improved internal controls, and established financial best practices delivery and processes standardization.
Lynch brings more than 20 years of global financial management experience to the company. Before joining Hitachi Data Systems in 2007, she served as vice president and chief financial officer at Raytheon Technical Services Company where she was responsible for all facets of the organization’s financial strategy, planning and management, and accounting. Prior to that she held a broad range of senior management roles at Honeywell International, including assistant corporate controller, leading the North American controller’s organization for Global Business Services, director of business, analysis and planning, and chief financial officer for the Latin American region finance organization where she lead the AlliedSignal/Honeywell merger for the finance organization of more than $1 billion in sales and 10,000 employees.
Lynch holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Mid America Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, and was voted Alumna of the Year by the school in 2006. She is a Certified Public Accountant; a founding member of the Honeywell Women’s Leadership Group, the Hitachi Data Systems Women’s Leadership Group and was named a finalist for the Stevie Awards for Women in Business in 2008.
