Susan Lynch

Susan Lynch is responsible for internal audit and controls, financial reporting and analysis, controllership, procurement and global real estate, and facilities. Her continuous surpassing of operating plans resulted in consistent profitability and the 1st ever dividend to Hitachi, Ltd. (the parent corporation of Hitachi Data Systems) in 2 decades. Under Lynch’s leadership, Hitachi Data Systems established Global Shared Services organizations in Krakow, Poland, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; improved internal controls; financial best-practices delivery; and standardized processes.

Lynch brings more than 20 years of global financial management experience to the company. Before joining Hitachi Data Systems in 2007, she served as vice president and chief financial officer at Raytheon Technical Services Company where she was responsible for all facets of the organization’s financial strategy, planning and management, and accounting. Earlier, she held a broad range of senior management roles at Honeywell International, including assistant corporate controller, leading the North American controller’s organization for Global Business Services. She was also successively director of business, analysis and planning, and chief financial officer for the Latin American region finance organization. In this latter role she led the unification of the finance organization in the AlliedSignal/Honeywell merger of more than US$1 billion in sales and 10,000 employees.

Lynch holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, and was voted Alumna of the Year by the school in 2006. She is a Certified Public Accountant; a founding member of the Honeywell Women’s Leadership Group and of the Hitachi Data Systems Women’s Leadership Group; and was named a 2008 finalist for the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, a worldwide recognition of exemplary individuals in business.
