Mike Walkey leads Hitachi Data Systems international partnership and alliances organization which drives a strategy to further impact Hitachi Data Systems momentum in addressable markets and align closely with technology partners, system integrators, independent software vendors, resellers and solution providers around the globe.
His organization supports Hitachi Data Systems direct and indirect sales organizations, aligning corporate cross-functional teams implementing a unified strategy for products, solutions, certifications and partnerships within a consistent go to market strategy. Walkey was promoted to the global
partnership position in 2008 after leading the company's global Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market initiatives.
Walkey joined the company in May 2006, from Flextronics International where he was responsible for that company's Reverse Logistics business unit.
Prior to that, Walkey was senior vice president, product management at buy.com. He joined them from Ingram Micro where he served as vice president of products.
Walkey is a graduate of Pepperdine University, holding a BS degree in Management.
