Hicham Abdessamad leads Hitachi Data Systems worldwide professional services and customer support organizations. He oversees the strategic direction and execution of services and support, and ensures a seamless, positive customer experience. His responsibilities include overall solutions strategy, services development, engineering and integration. He ensures consistency, efficiency in service delivery and support by adapting repeatable methodologies and proven best practices.
Before being named senior vice president, he served as vice president of Global Solution Services and before that as senior director of the Hitachi Data Systems Global Software line of business.
Prior to joining Hitachi Data Systems, Abdessamad ran the EMC Global Practice for the Open Software division. He was responsible for systems engineering, support and professional service for the EMC ControlCenter product suite. He later became the Global Practice Manager for the EMC Information Management Software Division. Abdessamad also worked at StorageNetworks, where he helped pioneer the Storage Service Provider model and played a key role in transforming the company into a software and services company.
Hicham Abdessamad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Suffolk University.
